Gairloch, Wester Ross, Scotland. Took my wing with me to Scotland hoping to fly. Weather was pretty good for where I was at in early May. However, for flying either it was too strong or in wrong direction most places..except..Gairloch!!! An old haunt of mine from my childhood and teenage years and first visited in '69 I couldn;t believe I had 15mph winds coming in smoothly to the beach. Special memories and special flying indeed for my first time in Scotland..Awesome

Nice wing. Looks like you had a nice gentle flight. I took a tandem flight in the Pyrenees a couple of years ago, hope to do it again this summer when we visit Gorges du Tarn.

Nice work Iain, likely a first flight there. I used to live in Ullapool just up the road. Show us some hike-n-flys off some of the Munros - TORRIDON if you get a chance would be amazing, Ben Alligin or the Liathach have excellent air coming up the loch and are ripe for the taking in correct conditions. YOur wing looks right at home.

Thanks!. The tune is from a guy called Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole from Hawaii. Hope you got to fly there too. I hear the wind comes in at the right angle on a regular basis.

Excellent vid, Good to see a fellow pilot flying same dunes, sea breeze regularily square on @ big sands. ( been camping at sands most summers for last 30 yrs )and love your saltire.

RA !! Sob , I want 1 , I fly a pheron and a vertex need something in between and been looking @ the RA . Was it specifically done in the saltire for you ? Ac

Yes, custom design by Hannes after I gave him the iniital pattern. Its a Small RA so they still have the patterns. But it did take a lot of effort and you would need to wait until they are not booked with orders to get it done. I waited 4 months. Send them a note and ask about it.
