Good News Everyone! Spain is now home to some great file sharing news. "SGAE" (Sociedad General de Autores y Editores) tried in vain to take down file sharing website elrincondejesus.com Before the court case even truly started, SGAE tried to convince the judge that the website needs to be taken down before the site owner was even tried. It seems that in Spain their Music Mafia's don't provide their judges and politicizations with a proper supply of hookers and cocaine because the judge refused to shut down the site with out even trying the site owner. Fast forward to now, and the court case is all over. Not only did the site not get shut down the judge pretty much ruled that all filing sharing sites are legal as long as they are not making money off of it and they are not hosting the files themself (emule and bit torrent sites.) but he also ruled that it is perfectly legal for every day people from Spain to use the site as well. I would say this did not go as planed.

  • @TTT1776 The only problem with using torrents etc is that you are downloading information that required a lot of intellectual work (programming software, games, special effects in movies etc...). Why would people keep working if they would not receive any reward for it? Want to hear your view on this please ^^

  • @logmeinwtf Each category of IP would have different business models or might not even require a business model to have the media created. Music: /watch?v=Jgbx_kw2cKE Movies: /watch?v=Xxg0QLegMr8 Games: /watch?v=0O9BxAFseEc Really media creation and research can and would keep on happening with out I.P. but it might require creativity. • The owner does making money; ads, donations?

ads would be enough to cover server fees and make some profit

  • @TraNWhiZ And torrent sits cost a lot of money to run so making some money to cover the bills should be ok. provided it can be proven in court that he wasn't making more then the bills cost.

  • I really like your videos, keep it up! Thanks!

  • @virgillevinger

  • @PayJ567 Technology advancements killed a lot of industries. R.I.P. deprecated business models.

  • WoW! Nice to see someone from the States (Are you?) addressing this issue. SGAE is the ultimate legal scam in Spain, and we are used to see crap like this all the time. They even try to get money from copyright-free works! Thanks for the video. It kinda cheer me up today. Flattred!

  • El rincon de jesus= Jesu`s place.
