C-1 04:36 Renewal of Lease Agreement - Verizon Virginia, Inc.
If approved, a public hearing would be scheduled to consider a new five (5) year Lease Agreement between The City of Norfolk and Verizon Virginia Inc. This agreement will allow Verizon Virginia Inc. to continue to operate a communications equipment building on City owned property located off of Shell Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Approval is recommended.

R-1 04:49 Fiscal Year 2011 Compensation Plan Amendment - If approved, this ordinance would amend the FY2011 Compensation Plan ordinance to provide the City Manager limited discretion to grant severance pay to classified and unclassified employees. Approval is recommended.

R-2 07:44 $75,000 Grant from National Fish and Wildlife Foundation for Haven Creek Living Shoreline - If approved, the City will receive $75,000 in funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation for the design and construction of the Haven Creek Walking Path Project. Approval is recommended.

R-3 08:54 Ordinance -- Utility Easement -- HRSD -- 3500 Granby Street - If approved, the City will convey a variable width utility easement to Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) for the purpose of laying, constructing, operating, maintaining and repairing underground wastewater force mains and gravity mains on Virginia Zoological Park property located at 3500 Granby Street. Approval is recommended.

R-4 09:22 Ordinance to Accept a Grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust for Shoreline Stabilization - If approved, the City will receive the sum of $20,700 from the Chesapeake Bay Trust Living Shoreline Grant Program to hire a consultant to design a living shoreline project. Approval is recommended.

R-5 10:44 Amend Enterprise Zone Ordinance - If approved, this agenda item will allow the City of Norfolk to continue to provide local incentives to Norfolk businesses under the newly redesignated Enterprise Zone. Approval is recommended.

R-6 12:15 Resolution Appointing City Manager, Marcus Jones to the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission - If approved, this resolution will appoint City Manager Marcus D. Jones to serve on the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission. Approval is recommended.

R-7 12:30 Fiscal Year 2011 Voluntary Retirement Incentive Ordinance - If approved, this ordinance would approve the FY2011 Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program, for employees who qualify for normal service retirement, and will voluntarily retire by June 30, 2011. Approval is recommended.
