This motion graphic starts with a wide-field, ground-based optical image of the Orion constellation. Next, the view zooms into an optical photograph taken by David Malin of the Orion Nebula before dissolving into a mosaic of Hubble Space Telescope images of a slightly smaller region. The sequence ends with Chandra's image of the Orion Nebula Cluster, the deepest X-ray image ever obtained of a star cluster.

  • fuck god

  • Why does everyone think that just because something is explainable, god is debunked? God let's the laws a physics do their thing. I love science and I believe in god it is possible to do both. Besides this is about an awesome looking nebula.

  • horse head nebula

  • Nice Video!! very unusual

  • Great Orion nebula, such a beautiful nebula. Its always my favorite deep sky object to look at when observing the Orion constellation.

  • faggot

  • God's work? So, you don't believe that a star collapsed under it's own mass after burning out its fuel and sent gas flying out into space, then the gas reassembled and formed stars which alluminate the rest of the cloud of gas?

You know, Occam's razor doesn't work for religious arguments...

I believe God to be a symbol, and I leave symbols to the symbol-minded.

  • yes God's work it is simply ...there are no words...!
