This is one of 3 prototype Nixie Watches made by Cathode Corner in 2002. The electronics are from CC, the case is something I made myself, and is unique. Battery life is about 6 to 8 months, this watch has no seconds, and uses reed (magnetic) switches to set the time. And the copper case does seem to prevent arthritis, as I've developed lots of joint stiffness in my right wrist since I've been wearing the watch on my left wrist.

  • Steampunk or what!

    Awesome!

  • @fronkenpoop Not steampunk at all! It actually does something, it's not art.

  • Totally tubular, dude. Awesome!

  • Nixie tubes are just so awesome looking...

  • I'm the guy who made the guts of this watch. It's not something that I'd try to make more copies of. The standard Cathode Corner Nixie Watch is the only Nixie watch available for sale these days.

  • looks like flash gordon fashion!, brilliant!.

  • @jforb427 Sorry... you're right. But I was referring to the style. Very very cool!

  • do you have any plans/schematics or suggestions in making one?

  • yes very cool.
