Making waterboarding and casual tasering look cool.

It's the era of mainstreaming torture - both nationally (through the acceptance of techniques like waterboarding by the Bush administration) and at the more local level (where tasers, which should only be used as an alternative to deadly force, are used as cattle prods to coerce citizens through pain). This video compares the famous example of the Fox News reporter who allowed himself to be waterboarded with a video of the Vermont Attorney General allowing himself to be tasered - both in attempts to demonstrate that its just no big deal...

i remember that news report when a fox newsreporter tried to show waterboarding wasn't "that bad". thats so stupid, it was used by the Catholic inquisition, it's virtual drowning, absolutely terrifying
