  • Thanks for posting this, i'd never seen it before. It freaks me out to remember that day. By about the time Ed & Phil were giving this interview I was out with some mates, all with the same look as these two, wondering when or if WW3 was going to start. At that moment anything seemed possible.

I'd imagine for intelligent, politically-conscious people like Radiohead that this must have been fucking terrifying. Suddenly alot of Thom's lyrics, concerns & fears didn't seem so abstract after all.

  • couldn't watch the whole thing as the audio is so crackly.

  • @8888111188887777 Yeah, I sure remember that moment! It was me shouting "speak to us thom". Since it really felt like sth was freeking him out. sth he was holding back... I honestly had no clue to what had happened earlier that day. As an American myself I though he was just playin' crazy and that what he was saying was part of the show... Quite an unforgetful, mindblowing way to learn about 9/11! It was Radioheads professionality that saved me later on that night! Thanks for the posts!!!

  • @myboomstick literally.

  • 3:27 Don't make Ed angy, you would'nt like to see him angry...

  • I feel like I am really listening to this on vinyl!

  • audio sounds like arse. just sayin'.

  • it felt like they were playing a eulogy at a funeral. was the strangest show I've ever been too.

  • Ed looks and sounds like he's on a come down.

  • Wow. Weird watching this. I was in Berlin on 9/11 and was at this gig they are referring to. It was surreal man. Weirdest heavy atmosphere I’ve ever witnesses. Not only was everyone in shock (just 6 or 7 hours after planes hit) but at was thundering and lightening and pouring down rain throughout this evening gig. Even with the crazy situation and mental weather they played brilliantly and it was a distraction. I can't describe the mood at the concert with the weather and everything. Was weird..

  • That's not true at all, there are countless examples of this in WWII.

  • Anyone could see 9/11 was a dissident, extremeist group. If an organised government were to declare war on another they sure as hell wouldn't fly a plane into a national monument.

When the last drops of oil finally run out, however, it will be a different story.
