Russkie Vityazi (Russian Knights) and Strizhi (Swifts) are the best of the best aerobatic performance demonstrator teams.

  • The first mixed team who did the flank maneuver synchronously with heavy and light jets. You can see this at 00:35-00:50.

  • And Mig 1.14 or SU-47 could take down that American crap Raptor. Why do you even compare planes of different generations? And why do you want to take down a team of aerobatic performers, biatch?

  • get this shit bitches!

    Russia is tha 1!!

  • I saw it with my own eyes when you stand there and look at the flight of ants on the skin.

  • @ tragicblackness

    well you do now lol!

btw are strizhi the ukrainian team?

  • Wow I didn't know the su-27 series was so much bigger than the mig-29 series.

  • thats very good timing

  • Poor training? Erm, US got virtualy wiped out vs Germans on that dogfight exercise so...

  • Russians have G-suits before the Americans. HMD too.

  • The difference is that you are comparing apples with oranges. Red Arrows fly small and light aircrafts while those pilots fly Su-27/30/35 and Mig-29. Put aside the Mig-29 the Su-27 weights like a tank! a whole 20 tons. Yet it's maneuverability is amazing.

  • My comments were basically directed at the fundamental ability of the pilots, not on the aircraft.

Whilst I fully appreciate the Su-27 is a totally different plane to fly. That said, the general standard of airmanship is (IMHO) below that of the Royal Air Force 'Red Arrows'.

Remember prospective Red Arrow pilots are chosen from squadrons within the RAF, and only stay for three years, before returning to other operational duties.

  • The Red Arrows are flying a significantly smaller and lighter airplane. The Su-27 is designed for air superiority, not for airshow display, unlike the hawk, which is among others a trainer aircraft and light to handle. I've seen both display teams and they both are impressive in their own terms.
