001001sith is right, direct logic is the cheapest, only drawback is one time cost of the software, just under $400, i replaced a $8000 GE system with direct logic for under $1000 including rewire and reprogram.

They look like capacitive sensors, and he also put some kind of float to increase the sensitibity.
