Painting a Day Demonstration- Horse Eye by Roberta "Roby" Baer, PSA

This is a mustang gelding, fully trained, and a great working horse. As I started my pre-sketch, I noticed that there was a reflection of the fence and myself in the reference photo that I took. That's why I'm calling it "Self Portrait".

@cliipclop Hi Cliipclop, love your user name! Thanks, I'm using CarbOthello pastel pencils. My favorite brands of soft pastel sticks are Sennelier, Unison, Schmincke and Rembrandt to name a few. My paper of choice is Strathmore Illustration or Bristol Board 500 series cold press Vellum in 10 ply. I get the pencils and Bristol Board at Dick Blick here on-line. Thanks again...:)) Roby
