Esta pieza es una de mis favoritas de Iberia. Creo que esconde parte de esa oscuridad del alma de andalucía de forma muy sutil. Alicia deja, como siempre, una sensación de rotundidad en la interpretación, como pocos. Aún vivo apenado por su desaparición.

Her playing has such unforced nobility. It reminds me of the pure sound of Dinu Lipatti.

They both are very well known in my world. I play as much as I can of their music and love them both very much. Such exquisite feelings and rhythm. I admit I am more partial to Albeniz. He is one of my all time favorites. It brought tears to my eyes to hear the way he died. Alicia de Larrocha is a great interpreter of his music.

I had no idea that he [Granados] escaped the torpedoed ship,one can only wonder how many more beautifull works he would have composed had he survived.But most importantly, it is a shame that he and his wife were deprived of their twilight years together.
