@milogirl14 Well, let's think why. First of all, they hadn't had nearly as much time to come up with more difficult moves. Secondly, sports weren't such a big thing - no professionals and definitely no TV and fans around the world - so there was less incentive. Third and most importantly, their equipment was much, much lower quality. The skills people do today would have been impossible then. Think about the springboard. It's MUCH more springy today. Try doing any modern vault on that!
