When the boss of a notorious Balkan crime syndicate discovers his favourite diamond is missing, James Brayden finds out that word on the street is pointing its finger in his direction. As a hard-boiled, some say burnt-out, ex-homicide officer, Brayden has seen more of London's wicked underbelly than any man should and beneath his composed exterior the scars cut deep.
