  • how is he building boost with no laod?

  • Dude, I'm building boost by revving the nuts off it!!!

Seriously, "wicking" the throttle - quickly opening and shutting it as the rev's build, and as you can see the boost builds right up!!!

    Cheers...

  • Or you can limit boost in the first gear or two by RPM's. You could limit boost to 7k in first gear so the turbo stops making boost at 7k and allows more traction. An electronic boost controller, for a bike, is effectivley a user controlled traction controle device. Boost/Power in each gear or RPM can be tuned to your specific driving style, on the street or a specific track. Or say, an unexpected slippery drive on the way to work, & how does 30 more HP sound just as a start with no other mods.

  • A little secret (to bike guys that is)....... You should think about adding an ElectroniC BOOST CONTROLER....... A newer gen unit will allow you to increase boost (to any level your bike can handle) and more importantly than adding massive power is the fact that with one of these little gadgets of wonder, you can make your peak horsepower limited in EACH GeaR OR RPM....... Example: first gear where its hard to stay wide off idle, you would limit boost to just a couple PSI, second 4 or 5 ect.

  • Ah Ha! I see....... This also means your whole turbo setup (pressure tubes, air hoses ect) is in excellent working order, No LEAKS. Everything must be very tight. Well done, have fun and be carefull on her!

  • Its a kawasaki turbo wearing a original HT10B thats been rebuilt with different internals(I think they use mitsibushi impellers and bore the exhaust housing out to remove the damage and restore clearances) by owens turbo's.

I know this, because once upon a time this was my bike, and I sold it to m6ntl who has now gone through every single nut and wire cleaning/repairing/improving it. I was impressed at the ability to build boost off the line too :D

  • OMG - never seen anything like this. My one starts at 5000 with load on the enginge. Do you have a very small turbo on?

    I have a GarretT25.
