  • We haven't used our slow cooker in such a long time. We recently got a Flavor Wave, and have been using it obsessively. It's kind of the opposite of a slow cooker, and it's amazing. There's nothing quite like a nice stew or pot roast that's been slow cooking all day though. So delicious. Now I'm hungry :)

  • @Jimplicit I'm just learning how to use a slow cooker - I've just never been into it. I chose not to keep this book because it's full of recipes from mixes and canned foods and I just don't care for that sort of food. A lot of people like it though so why not share? Besides which her story is intriguing and a lot of people would get into that. You're so right - good food cooked well at the end of a long day is just awesome!

  • I do some slow cooking so I would be interested in it. I don't have an interesting story except I like cookbooks.

  • @susankim51 :) That works for me - your name is in! :)

  • @boomrsoonrupinyoze Wow - exciting times! Germany can be a great place to live - I've only visited, but know several people who have lived there. Wow. I hope you'll be making videos from there.

  • @thizizliz I think everybody will be too far away to cook for me... I'm moving to Germany. :P

  • @CookingAndCrafting Interesting - maybe I'll do that and video a recipe. But really, butter buds? Ugh. Thanks - and you're right - once or twice a week is not a bad thing. Still better than fast food! Your local stuff makes me drool!!!!!! Some day I'll knock on your door and say 'trick or treat''! LOL.

  • I think that you should open it AND give away.. no harm in flipping through to see if there are 1-2 that suit your family's needs! Whenever you talk about "quick and easy" you will more times than not end up with LOTS of prepacked, very unhealthy things put together. We try out hardest about 5 days of the week to eat fairly healthy foods that use pretty basic stuff but we also experiment and cheat on the weekends as well. Then of course we have to have our local stuff haha

  • @xyzllii I don't have the skilz to do that pic, but I did send a request to the guy who does. It is fun, isn't it? I was up til about 11 or so I think. LOL - some times I just stay up for an hour of solitude! :)

  • @thizizliz Ah...at LAST I get it...yes do ...if you want...lovely...that would be nice...thanks..and don't worry about the red hat if it is too difficult...you are up late !!
