Dr. Russell Katz, director of the Division of Neurology Products in the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said, ""Chronic migraine is one of the most disabling forms of headache. Patients with chronic migraine experience a headache more than 14 days of the month. This condition can greatly affect family, work, and social life, so it is important to have a variety of effective treatment options available.""
Sanford Bernstein analysts estimate that as a migraine treatment, Botox could generate an additional $1 billion in sales.

My neurollogist has recommended Botox injections for my migraines. It was approved by my insurance. It will require a co-pay that's substantial. It will be worth it if it helps. Migraines have caused me to miss work and not be able to socialize with others among other things. I am praying that the Botox is an effective treatment. It has to be done about every 2months, though.
