I was requested to make something like a one pot meal in this rice cooker. It was an experiment because, I also used the timer to make sure it completed by 5pm. This is vegetarian but, you could add your choice of meat. It turned out very Yummy and made enough for another meal which I am thinking about enchilada's maybe?

  • Hello. What's the minimum quantity of rice (in cup)??

  • @mrketoprom the cooker comes with a measuring cup that is not an exact cup size and then the machine has water marks from 1 to 6 with mltiple kinds of rice markings the the sides of the container. I think it is appx. 3/4 cup rice to 1 cup of water.

  • Was the cost of the rice cooker worth it as far as the taste of the rice that it makes versus making rice on the stove? This brand is kinda pricey but sounds fool proof.

  • This rice cooker is by far worth the investment. It makes perfect rice as well as gaba rice which we love.

I also set my rice cooker in the morning to have the rice perfectly cooked when I get home from work.

This saves me alot of time and has paid for itself as I don't go out to eat as often.

    I highly recommend

  • Great recipe. I tried it in my Sanyo 10 cup cooker and it came out very well! Thanks for sharing. Do you have any more rice cooker recipes?

  • I am buying a rice cooker tomorrow!!!! Looks awesome!!!

  • Great job. will try this recipe myself. just got my rice cooker.

  • nice

  • That looks awesome! I do believe it's the HTC (not HBC) model that's pressurized though. Some things (like oatmeal) are a no-go with the pressurized units, in fact.

  • @Lightenup2009 You have to tie up the machine while the rice is germinating for three days?

    thx!

  • This is awesome. I am gonna invest in one of this. I agree with the sound of the door, sounds like somebody is hungry!! Thanks for sharing.

  • looks hella good
