In this video, I have two lavaliere microphones plugged directly into the iPhone 4 through a Monster iSplitter. Instructions can be found on my website, http://www.lifeisaprayer.com/

  • Thank you for your instructions. I am having an issue getting my second mic to work with the splitter. I am using the identical hardware setup suggested however once I plug the splitter in audio from both mics go away completely. Occasionally, on mike will work while the other does not. However, I haven't been able to get both working at the same time. I have tried the setup on both an iPhone and iPhone 4S. Any advice?

  • @TheBryanharris - Make sure the mics are both firmly plugged in; it sounds like a flaky connection to me. Also, if possible, try another mic or two, as maybe (this does happen sometimes) the mic cables are bad.

Also, make sure the batteries for the mics are firmly in place, and the on switch is firmly in the 'on' position.

  • Could you make the same thing work with two wireless microphones?

  • @JoshuaCork - yes, as long as they both output good levels, and don't interfere with each other (make sure they're not on the same frequency!).

  • Awesome, where do you get all that stuff? any website?

    Thanks

  • Thank you for all of your helpful and informative reviews!!!

  • It's definitely odd. The mics are both ATR-3350s brand new out of the box. Both are tested and work independently and record well. The splitter is the master audio one recommended. I've tried two different ones with no diff results. The adapter cable is straight from KV and works fine in a single mic. Any other ideas at all? Thanks for your time.
