Originally called the "poor man's" Cobra, it came with the Ford 260 V8. Car weighs about 2600 lbs w/o driver so with some minor tuning, you'd have a car that moves. Wheels were dog dish hubcaps when shipped from Britain and 12" in rims I think. CORRECT me if that's wrong - going from memory. Seems like they're now 14". Restored 25 years ago and repainted within the last 10 yrs (can't remember how long) it looks brand new. Motor is now a 289 and a 4 speed. Underhood maintenance is best accomplished using midgets, dwarfs or mechanically gifted children. I don't mean to offend the midgets and dwarfs looking at this car, but damn if anyone else tries it your knuckles will be raw! When the motor gets rebuilt, it had BETTER be done right or you're going to be hating life. These cars are beginning to command a premium...and WHY is there a Chrysler Pentastar on the right front fender????? Chrysler bought 30% of the Sunbeam Company's owner. Since they didn't have a commanding stake in the company they only got to Chryslerize the one fender. It's true! By '67 (?) Chrysler had enlarged their stake in the company and the Ford motor irked them. The 273 SBChrysler was too big to fit. It went downhill from there. Taken at Abingdon Lowes 14 October 2011.
