Developed by Sega-AM5 (aka Sega Rosso), the same team responsible for Star Wars Trilogy Arcade and the first two Sega Rally games. This game uses an enhanced version of the NAOMI system called the Hikaru, being used for some of Sega's deluxe dedicated cabinet games like Brave Fire Fighters.

Don't confuse this Sega arcade racing title to the console game Star Wars Episode I: Racer... they're different.
