I had actually changed mine for a short time to beach bars. They gave me serious cramps in my top middle back muscles.... wasn't too long and I had put the apes back on. Once you get used to them they're efn fantastic.

Apes look good and not bad for a quick 20 mile ride to the local DQ and back. Try two or three 500 mile days back to back.Been there, done that, won't do it again.

@bobberguy1 I rode this bike all over the place. Once I went to Key West from Jacksonville Florida and back in 2 days...11 hours each day. No problem. I also had a cruise control ( the real deal) on this one and could drop my arms when needed.

apes are the shit! i put in many 7-8 hour riding days in and have no complaints. unlike lower handles, wide apes open up your chest and straighten your back...makes for a great way to ride long hours.
