How the hell do you get that high quality sounding electric guitar noise? I'm using guitar rig 3 and 4 and anytime I plug in some heavy metal thing, the static noise is equally loud to the guitar itself. It shouldn't be my soundcard because if I plug my guitar into like cubase without guitar rig presets, it's pretty crystal clear. But when I add the guitar rig stuff it starts crackling with static and hisses. Help!

@WolfySnackrib666 Do not use the line in on a sound card, you need a high impedence input, get an audio interface for this.

Also never use guitar rig over anything but the guitars dry signal.Thats the guitar, no amp no nothing, straight into an interface and into guitar rig.

how do you use this live with the laptop

@stbreal Just need a laptop that can handle it.....probably would need the Rig Kontrol which acts as your soundcard and output that into either some high power monitors speakers or a PA or something and your good to go.

hey harry does this work on a usb midi interface and the rock band pro guitar?

I tried 4 but im sure the inputs are all wrong for it too work :\

Maybe i could try an alternative for midi interface?

@SuperEarther No it'll only process audio signals.

It is possible to play the guitar through midi and then process that through guitar rig but the result would be terrible :)

Basically what this is, is 2 new amps that sound exactly the same i'm saving $150 and buying the guitar rig 4 pro with kontrol. trust me its the same thing

i have now rig 4... i saw a Behringer UCG 102 usb interface... its good to have that one? cheap!!! it will give no more hizz? help me out, i already download ASIO4ALL
