  • I am trying your way, Richpin, but my key comes out alone! not the cylinder itself..I used lubricant , I wiggled the cylinder right-left but no use. The cylinder is getting stuck there! :( any help please??

  • @arramad If the lock cylinder will not come out you have to replace the housing.

  • @richpin06a

I tried to do some search and couldnt find anything about that. Where I can find how to do that?

  • @arramad I have a video "Ignition Switch Removal" were you can see me removing the housing.

  • @celis281 I think you could wire in a different switch the hard part would be in mounting the new cylinder.

  • @celis281 Just put a hidden switch somewhere. That way the starter only works when the button is pressed. ;)

  • On same cars your have to drill that hole, as I know.

  • @browniesareg I respectfully disagree w/richpin06a - Use Electrical Contact Cleaner [non-conductive safe use extra] in the lock cylinder. Insert supplied straw GENTLY in the 'keyway' then attach spray-can. While spraying cleaner slowly remove straw. Repeat this step till fluid coming out of ignition is clear. Follow cleaner w/Penetrating Oil [NOT WD40] - ONCE - use straw in same manor as cleaner. Try working key, still nothing try a couple soft taps w/screwdriver handle on end of inserted key

  • @djaygermain They are all different.
