By 1918, 49% of all graduates of the college were in military service, more than any other school. A&M produced 20,229 combat troops. Of those, 14,123 Aggies served as officers, more than the combined total of the United States Naval Academy and the United States Military Academy during WWII. Heres a little quote for you from Gen.Patton "Give me an army of West Point graduates and I"ll win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies and I"ll win a war."
