  • A real peace of American history that's gotta be worth a lot of money, family heirloom?

  • Yes, it belongs to my neighbor, is has been in tjheir family since it was purchased in 1860.

  • Very nice example, looking closely at the pictures it doesnt seem to have been fired much, there is little or no deformation of the nipples and little or no wear to the cylinder notches,if you replaced the takedown bar screw and the nipples would you fire it with a full load?

  • If I owned it yes, Id fire it with a light load, but it belongs to a friend and they dont wish to fire it, although I feel it would have been safe.

  • Dude, you have the nicest gun collection I've ever seen. Where do you get all these guns?

  • Thanks! About one third of the firearms, including this one here, are owned by friends & family. I work on them for free, so long as they permit me to profile them here with a video.

    Thanks again, Ernest.

  • Imagine being shot by that thing, only to be operated on by a civil war era doctor with no anesthesia, dirty instruments and a rudimentary understanding of human anatomy.

  • nice gun

  • A nice Manhattan can be had for about a third of what a Colt goes for. A nice one a couple weeks ago sold for $550.

  • Thanx for sharing this video. I loved seeing it.

  • RED DEAD REDEMPTION LIVES!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful gun. One of my favourites except for 1858 Remmy which is my number one.

  • a near priceless piece of rare american history? Sweet! Lets toss it in the grass and take some pics!

  • how do you take one of these apart? trying to clean a revolver just like that but a 6 shot

  • Didnt colt sue them for copy rights and force them out of the gun trade? He did alot of that at the time to someone who made the same gun as his that he held the rights to.Ive seen one at a gun show and thir the same gun as a 51 navy exept for the name on the gun. They are very rare and worth a lot of cash even a bad one.

  • wish to have one...:)))
