@alejonsu Yes, it went south. Markets never go north forever, they fluctuate. It may take a few years, but L.A. will start appreciating again. In the meantime, you can still buy. Make sure you buy cashflow properties, Class C. Stay out of Class B until you see appreciation coming back.

polokingh2o, technically you are right but I didn't want to get into that much complexity. The calculations where done taking only appreciation into account. Ben

your calculation is incorrect because you have to subtract the mortgage amount before you calculate your annual return.
