This is one of the easiest flowers to paint. No drawing is required. The bearded Iris comes in many colors and watercolor is an excellent medium to use because of the flow of the water. I allow the water to help with the painting! I have also written an e-book that should be on my painting tips site soon, if not already. The e-book contains 10 chapters of step-by-step demonstrations, and a bearded Iris is one of them.

  • Thanks to all who have commented on this video. I have really been behind the 8 ball and haven't checked my Youtube messages.

  • I used a Squirrel Mop, but a bamboo brush would work nicely also.

  • Nice work! Did u use the bamboo brush?

    thanks for sharing!

  • What paper did you use? It looks easy and I know that it is not without years of training. It is truly lovely.

    Thank you!

  • I used Rtistx Board, but I work the same on paper. Usually I use 200# Waterford Paper by TH Saunders. But the technique works on any paper.
