Oklahoma Smokehouse scene

My community theater's 2007 production of "Oklahoma!". This was our final show, when the cast can play pranks on eachother. When Jud shoots at the roof, a chicken "falls" from the roof (someone backstage threw it and our Jud and Curly didn't know about it). The cast incorporates chickens throughout the show on the last night as tradition, our music director is terrified of chickens and it's a bit of a joke. When Curly shoots at the knot-hole (which is in the direction of drummer of the pit), the drummer falls over "dead". Obviously this took our Curly off guard. When he came offstage he was crying from laughing so hard. Fun times.

Ha, ha! Hilarious! Was hoping to see the proper scene, but this was too funny! And it gets even funnier, as he trys over and over to deliver his lines, all of them just making it more obvious that he's "misfired!"

I love these performances :) We did the same thing at PCLO in San Mateo. When we did "Sound of Music" - in the scene when Leisel is supposed to sneak back into the house through Maria's window - she came in with her dress half undone, slurring her words and drinking champagne out of her shoe. One of many gags that night. But we never did these during a performance, it was always during a pick up rehearsal in the middle of a long run of the show.
