As a kid growing up in KC at the time, I remember this game so well, and how proud I was of the Chiefs. I miss the purity, passion and charm that existed in this era of professional football.

Kapp played like 2 or 3 games for the Pats the next season (and sucked) and that was it for him.

Kind of like when Freddie the Hammer Williamson of the Chiefs bragged that he would put the 'Hammer' to the Packers in SB1, but got knocked out by Donnie Anderson on a sweep.

of course i didn't cheer. i chief fan but we don't cheer other's injuries...

Stram is a legendary motivator,half the time his guys didnt know what he was talking about,but they all understood his message

I remember when Stram was carried off the field again a few years later when his New Orleans Saints upset the Chiefs.

You didn't cheer because Kapp was injured did you? It's rather classless to cheer injuries. I don't think even the obnoxious Giants fans cheered when LT put that horrible break on Joe Theismann's leg on MNF in the 80s.
