Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, spoke on the House floor today:
"[The Budget Control Act is] a huge cultural change to this institution. Both parties got us in this mess. Both parties are going to have to work together to get us out of this mess. And the real problem, I would add Mr. Speaker, is the fact that we spend WAY more money than we take in."

~~After WWI, the UK could not hold on to it's mighty empire. It's revenue was depleted fighting wars on so many fronts. Likewise the MONEY LAUNDERING Iraq & Afghanistan wars are depleting U.S. revenue. That's ok with REPUBLICAN Paul Ryan. HE "voted for every spending bill that came down the road" KEN LAGONE (HOME DEPOT FOUNDER) recently said about the PRE-OBAMA RYAN. If PAUL RYAN was REALLY INTERESTED in deficit reduction he would push for the end of our involvement in IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN.

@daveusaz I can only infer by reading your posts that you are about 13 years old. Why don't you go ask some grownups how things work before posting silly things. Better yet, put down the computer and go outside and play I'm sure you could use the exercise.

Read the bill dummy, it clearly says that the penalty for not purchasing a plan is nothing, so your point is a fail but the point on your dunce cap stands out like communist plan of Ryan to privatise SS and Mcare so his corporate sponsers can raid it and say Ooops we did it again and at the same time cut their taxes so it is easier for them to keep the taxpayer money they steal, Just like the Bankers did in 2008, so wake up fool. The Republitard teabag smoke screen has blinded you.

of course you leave a couple of things out, like he inherited the .com bubble, nasdaq emploded, oh and that other thing that leftys always forget about 911. It would have been much worse without the cuts. Using obamas math Bush saved or created 15 million jobs during his pres. Private sector jobs need to grow, govt needs to shrink, stupid regulations need to be abolished.
