  • where is the sound? Missing - or not possible with the screen capture tool?

  • It would be possible. But i thought, that text in the post-its would be nicer to follow

  • Yes, i'm using Kubuntu. No probs at all, just added the ppa, hit fire and go. :)

  • I moved from Gnome to KDE4 because I was fed up with "incremental changes" that provided very limited improvements to increasingly stale desktop environment. From time to time, a ground-shaking step is needed to provide a really new user experience (event at the cost of initial child age problems). I wish to see a more dock-like task manager (the present one resembles Windows too much).

  • this video useful for me

  • Guys, get it: Th good think about KDE used to be the K family. Desktop... I don't know, I'm switching to FLUXBUNTU...

  • KDE has more functionalities.

  • Sure. It might not be a big deal, to whom? I mean, I'm a programmer. I'm on the keyboard. Why to switch to mouse? It's uncomfortable and unpractical. I set all my shortcuts, but eventually i need to switch to mouse. If you're on the computer for 12 hours a day.... well.. you want choices and functionality. Choices is the keyword. Just an opinion here.

  • Yeah... I especially miss a usable twitter applet in my panel... something that isn't that big a deal, but I really liked having it there, and only in Kubuntu is it broken.

  • So, what I worry about, is functionality on small details. The big picture I'm comfortable with, specially using Konqueror. Let's see if KDE 4.x achieves its goals quickly.

  • Same here. Those bugs are not that annoying, though. What I really worry about is how some applications like kate started to do some changes that really affect a particular functionality. For example, kate no longer allows you to focus on the editor when you are on the terminal, using a shortcut. According to some user, that was stupid, since you can always do it using the mouse... precisely what I truly dislike and what I would like to avoid always...

  • Yeah, I've moved back to it - they've done a good job, but some kubuntu-specific bugs have surfaced... no doubt because I'm using backports... well, hope to see it fixed by 9.10. :)
