Rant on ads, YouTube new account layout, and Wanting Personal Information.

This is my rant and motivational speech on how YouTube wants personal information starting March 1st, 2012. I also rant some on the new account layout they're forcing us to and also on how the whole reason for their wanting of personal info is for the purpose of targeting us with ADVERTISEMENTS.

OMG! I know exactly what you mean about all this shit! I hate all the stupid ads and the ads with audio you can't get rid of while you surf the net because I too listen to music while online from my itunes. That shit makes me go from zero to pissed off in seconds and wanna bash someone's head in. If they annoy me with their shitty ads then I ain't gonna want their shit and it turns me off instead! I'm liking, faving, sharing and adding this video to my rants and protests playlist! Perfect rant!

I use AdBlockPlus to block the ads, I don't even see them but yeah, if I see stuff advertised on youtube I make a mental note not to buy it because their stupid ad pissed me off! man great speech! I wish I could do stuff like that you were great!

It looks like this new policy is coming out in 2 hours. This is the last YouTube comment I make before leaving! I will be moving to Zippcast the next day if I have time. When I do, I will make a video giving shoutouts to all of my favorite YouTube channels. Since this is coming out, goodbye YouTube; the old policy and layout will be missed.

it comes with the making of an "advertising machine" yes, youtube has become too mainstream. We should all just go to vimeo or something similar. On the other hand, if you can't beat them, join them. I made $256 on Google AdSence last year, and was not really trying.

My absence in youtube lately is partially because they took away the feature that would pre-load all the video if you just paused it. It seems they fixed that, so i can once again watch videos on my slow connection by loading 10 or so and pausing them all then coming back in an hour.

I found a search engine called scroogle that even has a link to emailing the U.S Justice Department so you can complain about Google. They are already being looked into for anti competitive activities by a congressional committee. If they start asking for personal info I'm gone, even though I haven't posted any videos. If they want to run ads, fine, but I am not disclosing any personal details, it's bad enough that I keep getting a pop up ad for a local idiot politician.

i have noticed in the last few weeks the frequency of ads on Youtube has really gone nuts! It's gone from occasional to every second video having an ad. Unfortunately this has rendered things like playlists of music virtually non-functional as you end up with more ads than you'd even get on commercial TV or radio now... Sucks huh... time to find an alternative to Youtube I think..

I know that it will affect people who sign up; but I'm still unclear if this will ONLY affect new people or if it will affect everyone, even if you already have an existing account. If it does affect people who already have one, I'm leaving YouTube and moving to Zippcast. I'll NEVER give my phone number OR a credit card number out to the internet! Hopefully the new policy won't be put into effect; but if it does, I'm prepared for it. As for the ads, my channel is currently set NOT to allow ads.
