Yeah, she was trying to avoid dealing with the truth.

After suddenly learning that Hugo is her father and Lion is her brother, then Lion dies right afterward, and it looks like Hugo is pretty much responsible for that and the death of her mother long before, she was pretty traumatized (even though she didn't want to admit it), and part of her didn't want to deal with that.

She said that Hugo and Lion, are her real father and brother.

Mary and Stan already knew this, but the rest of the party didn't (I guess it was the way Lion worded it earlier, or they just didn't hear, or something... *scratches head*).
