This I did as a labour of love. It was NOT intended to actually be embroidered (with almost 1.8 million stitches, it would be just a "little" impractical) (Note: Each little square of the grid indicates 1cm)
I digitised it by hand and it took more than just a few hours to get all the detail looking just right.
It was fun to do, and I think it's fun to watch the video... It's played at an average of 4000 stitches/minute, so that should give you some idea.

  • the amount of vehicles that you carelessly suggested were destroyed by the cubans. I fought in that war.....

  • @mindispower1 So did I. I suspect you are directing your comments at the wrong person.

  • @zerocker45

HA HA HA HA. Get your facts straight you moron!

  • @thetannedgod

Sorry? Who are you calling a Moron? Me? Do me a favour and tell me what your background is.. have you served with the SADF? Have you even BEEN on a Ratel, never mind having been in uniform on the border like I have?

I see from some of your other posts that you base your "information" on Wikipedia and other such sterling sources of "facts"... but even there, I cannot find any support for the idea that "THOUSANDS" of Ratels were destroyed by the Cubans!!!

  • @mindispower1 Oh? Really. I'm not your mate and I was NOT trolling.. I'd like to know what you think displays my ignorance?

  • @JohnDovey Your ignorance and thoughts of getting a rise are ridiculously astounding mate.

  • @MasterJodaJediDoctor Well then Mexico and all Latin American countries are....

  • @MrRinkhals Dude... please i live in Miami all my neighbors are Cuban. SAAD didn't win. If you say they were victorious why they couldn't take over angola? Do you know who was supporting cuba??? THE SOVIETS, 2nd superpower at that time... Cubans used not only T-55 but T-62M...

  • @zerocker45 Maybe you should ask the Cubans who were actually there and not wikipedia. Thats if there are any cubans left to talk about it. On the other hand though there are many South Africans who can tell you what really happened out there cause all of them came back home victorious. Do yourself a favour and look up 61 Mech Bn (even on wikipedia). Never undermine a 61 Mech soldier and his Ratel cause their training and commitment was on a higher level than the cubans during those days.

  • @MrRinkhals Dude come on. You know its true i found it on wikipedia... There is no way a ratel could beat up a T-55,,,

  • @zerocker45

Yep. Another troll submerges again. You must have sucked old Fidel's "cigar" to post this ridiculous and untrue statement. Shame. Dont worry John, this nut jerks off when he watches Rambo and then comes up with all sorts of "facts". Crawl back into the hole you came from peanut buffer.

  • @JohnDovey

Sorry, bit of a misunderstanding - my comment was directed at Zerocker
