@SexyDangerTrainer Just as fast as it did with the bug motor. It still had the same transmission. It was quicker. The car has been to 110mph

how fast it wil lgo ?

@dyork2006 Not on this engine. It is wired exactly the same as a stock Bug motor.

is there a ecu?

@CockAnBallz What? Look on thesamba.com under the classifieds for engines. 1776 is a relatively small air cooled VW motor. The one on the car in this video is 1785cc's, water cooled and came out of an 80's subaru. If your car runs good, start with dual carbs then a small header. Those are easy mods and will help significantly.

hey i'm doin the same thing for my bug, any tips or pointers you could throw my way? how did you mount the motor? is it the stock transaxle? if so did you have to modify the bell housing for the flywheel?

I love it man. I am going to do an EJ20T converison on my superbug some time soon but i love the way you have made it sleeper. Like not only is it sleeper as in power in a bug but sleeper engine bay as well. LOVE IT

Thanks. I appreciate that. That is the look I was going for. I am thinking about putting vw exhaust tips on as well; at least for around town. Maybe I can get that chirpy sound.
