Spencer Davis Group - Keep on running 2010

Original 1965

Keep on running keep on hiding
one find day I'm gonna be the one
to make you understand
oh yea I'm gonna be your man

Keep on running running from my arms
one fine day I'm gonna be the one
to make you understand
oh yea I'm gonna be your man

Hey hey hey everyone is talking about me
it makes me feel so bad
hey hey hey everyone is laughing at me
it makes me feel so sad
so keep on running

(Instrumental)

Keep on running running from my arms
one fine day I'm gonna be the one
to make you understand
oh yea I'm gonna be your man

Hey hey hey
hey hey hey

Keep on running running from my arms
one fine day I'm gonna be the one
to make you understand
oh yea I'm gonna be your man

(Instrumental)

  • I saw them in 1965 in Budapest, a long time ago.

  • He sounds great...

  • spencer is crap

  • Ouch kevlength! Admittedly they do sound a bit ropey but I doubt whether the 'Manfreds' would put on a better show than even this line- up. Manfred Mann were pretty poor interpreters of the blues- even in '64, but to be fair, they could play a little modern jazz.

Look at early SDG to see how excellent they were. Even Davis himself could turn in a fine vocal and was an excellent harp player. I recommend the live version of 'Gimme Some Lovin'.

  • @wildoutrudeboy

YEH... like you could do better.

    So who's crap???

    Haha

  • This song was written by a Jamaican Name Jackie Edwards for Producer Chis Blackwell that gave the world Bob Marley. Also chk out "Someone Help Me" by the same Jamaican writter.... Both songs were number one UK hits for this Group.

  • I saw this band in 2009 and they were crap!!! Thank god the manfreds were on after.....

  • good revival. Incredible voice, the one of Steve Winwood Un saludo desde España

  • It's nice that Spencer is keeping the music alive. No lineup could never match the original but that is true with every great old band.

  • einfch geil
