Director/editor Lane Wyrick had the great fortune to get to know Dr. Ponseti well - he was still helping children from around the world well into his 90's.

I question clubfoot developing as late as 16-18 weeks in pregnancy. My baby's clubfoot was found by ultrasound when I was 18 weeks. If spina bifida develops typically in the "first few weeks" of pregnancy, usually before a woman even knows she's pregnant, which is why it's advocated that women of child-bearing age get adequate folic acid in her diet to prevent spina bifida, then why is it thought that clubfoot doesn't develop until "16-18 weeks"?

I have a severe clubfoot but only on one foot, it keeps me back on a lot of sports, I can only wear certain shoes and it doesn't help that my foot with clubfoot is size 4 and my 'normal' one is 6!The kids in the video are very lucky because even though I was being treated at birth doctors say my foot will never be the 'normal' my first operation was when i was 5 months! I wish when I was born these guys and the technology treated me,even though my doctors now are amazing I thank them very much!
