and the name of that road which the bridge links is Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Road .. just to tell u that we are very secular and are proud of that
-
cut the crap dude.. if u love ur nation, u love ur compatriots as well. just be proud for the fact that we are secular, not a islamic, hindu or a country with state poking into religion.
-
firstly symbolism is something we are born with, to the un initiated that unfinished bridge depicts bears a negative image, but as a matter of fact, that is the bandra worli sealink bridge, a tech miracle of a sort due to the kind of soggy land it is being built on. And proudly every tech there is indigenous. that's what a Hindu sees, bro. we are born into a world with dualism. and by the way Hindu is not a religion, its a way of life.

I've been to India 3 times and can't believe how it is different every time. Women of my generation (40s) have gone from Saris to Courtas to Jeans, in the cities. The air is cleaner in Delhi. There are more cars on the roads. Fixe prices are appearing everywhere. And Indians who live in America stick out like sore thumbs in the market places (I'm a gori and I can spot them!). There are less power outages in the villages. You can reserve train tickets ahead of time.

I had the hardest time finding an Indian Flag! I searched on Gerrard Stret(Toronto)during a Festival, went to another Indian festival in town and even searched in India. How fustrating. I finally found one at "King of Flags" on Spadina (Toronto) for $10. Hurray!
I understand that they are only available in India for officials and Gov't Bldg and Vande Mataram videos. Ha! Ha! Ha!

I added this to my playlist months ago and I am surprised everytime that I play it, either for me or our children, at how few people have viewed it on YouTube.

Honestly, even expat Indians here have double standards in that they say they are Indians but within the same breath utter their disgust about things back home. Yes, there would most naturally be disgusting people and bad apples all over the world, but that is just that. If there are people who really and truly understand that its a Mother, then there'd be more moral obligations.

Would I be able to be the one in that video? Yes. Could I do better? Probably. Could I have more drive, and drive the message across? Probably too. Would I have that impact comparatively? No. I'm not Amitabh. But his message is good for those who genuinely wish to see a stronger India. I'm Singaporean born and bred, but on 15th August, and I too wish to see India further ahead.
hey everyone,
