A background would do great, it also enables you to hide the heater etc. But it also stops light from reaching into the aquarium, which is good for the fish, actually its best for the fish to only get light from above.

great set up looks lovely, with having so few fish do you have issues with terratories and the fish always fighting? shame the heater isnt hidden. over all love it.
