X-Men 3: Phoenix Rising Trailer

The following is a FAN-MADE, non-profit trailer made purely for entertainment purposes.

Well, Merry Christmas everyone! I didn't intend to upload this video on Christmas day, but it was done and I had been working on it for a while, so I thought I would. This trailer basically shows what direction I would have liked "X-Men 3" to go in. I feel like it would have been a much better film had they stuck to "The Dark Phoenix Saga" of the comics, instead of attempting to adapt the Cure storyline from "Gifted" along with it. This is just my attempt at creating something more faithful to one of the most famous and beloved X-Men stories. Hope you enjoy!

That is one of the best trailers I've ever seen, fan-made or otherwise. That... was... EPIC! Even with clips from an unbearable atrocity like "X-Men: The Last Straw", you made this look like one of the best movies EVER. My sole complaint was that I would've liked to have seen Rogue at least once, since she, like Cyclops, was grossly underused in the X-Men films. Maybe we'll see Rogue in a second Phoenix Rising trailer (fingers crossed)? Other than that, keep up the GREAT work! :D

HAHAHA! That's brilliant! Thanks for the kind words. As for Rogue, I love the character, but I didn't really have a lot of footage to choose from as she didn't do anything in X3. Personally, I would have had her acquire Ms Marvel's powers in X3. If I do more with this in the future, I'll be sure to include her in some way though :)

Cool video, but isn't this what Bryan Singer had intended for an X-Men 3? Adding the Dark Phoenix Saga with the Hellfire Club and Gambit? Either way this is a cool trailer, on par with WhiplashDynamo's X-Men 3 trailer

@ForrestFilms It may indeed be what Bryan Singer had intended, but that's because that's what happened in the comic. I think that he wanted Emma Frost to be much older though, and be an past love of Xavier. He wanted Sigourney Weaver in the role.

What direction would you have liked for Spider-Man 3 to go in, SAK?

@MtSKiDRevolution Well, I liked the idea of doing the black suit, but if they couldn't properly fit in Venom, then I would have completely saved him for a potential "Spider-Man 4". I would've had Peter and MJ actually act like a real people in a relationship (face their problems instead of crying about them), and probably drop Sandman and make Harry Osborn the main villain. They tried to make Sandman a more central character by being Uncle Ben's murderer, but it just feels too contrived to me.

WOW! This is way better than anything regarding X-Men 3!(Atleast for Cyclops), I love you had had that romantic dynamic between them, almost to make it seem like they're the main characters, and then he's the one to finally take a shot at her in the end! Brilliant, man. Brilliant!

Yeah, that would've been WAY better than the way Shaw was shoe-horned into Magneto's origin story.

@ShadesAtKnight - Wow, thanks for the reply back, buddy! If you do make a second Phoenix Rising trailer (again, fingers crossed), I guess if you wanted to use Rogue, you could use some of the clips of her from the Danger Room like when Colossus giving her his powers at the beginning of "The Last Straw" to make it look like she was in the final battle. And yeah, I would've loved to have seen Rogue get Miss Marvel's powers too. It's too bad she never got them in X3.

@ShadesAtKnight I would also love to see your take on Spider-Man 3 (a suggestion for a title - 'The Black Suit'). I agree that I would have dropped Sandman and focused on either the Eddie Brock standoff or the Harry Osborn revenge plot, saving Venom for a fourth film if it were the latter. And I'd actually have let Peter and MJ get married at last as per the comics (though I wouldn't have said no to having a take on Felica Hardy/Black Cat in the Spidey films!)
