African Americans may be the nation's most religious minority, but the churches and religious leaders don't speak for many of us.

Smart, sexy, savvy, funny! If comedy was music, she'd be jazz. Stand-up comedian Leighann Lord has appeared on numerous stand-up comedy shows including Lifetime's Girls Night Out, The Original HBO Def Comedy All Star Jam, ABC's The View, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, and Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen. She's performed in the Caribbean, Europe, and for U. S. troops stationed in the South Pacific, Afghanistan and Iraq.

  • I love this! And your point at the end is profound: we're sharing the planet, so let's make an effort. I agree!

  • Oh cool, its nice to see that humanists are finally coming out of the woodwork. I hope they do well.

  • In this world, I see so much potential for the human species. This irreplaceable world needs us now, not just for it but for us as well. That's why humanism is the truth.

  • It is great to be a free thinker and I agree that there are many Christians out there who do not live the life. we are after all human and we will all fall short of the glory of God. I am a black Christian but I worship with people of all ethnic backgrounds and many things I see coming from the mega churches and other "christians" I can see where there would be doubt. Unfortunately we have gotten away from just loving people for who they are but that still does not mean it is not true.

  • @connick2111 and how is she selfish, when she is clearly trying to comfort people who have felt disconnect and dishonesty from the church? can you logically respond to that please?

  • Jesus Loves You !
