  • Nice opening of this Concerto, which was written when she was 17. When she was about 27, she started composing a 2nd Piano Concerto, but never completed it. She intended to present it to her husband Robert on his 37th birthday, which was 8 June 1847. She wrote a good portion of the first movement only, but never returned to it for some reason. This first movement was "completed" in 1994, and is called the Konzertsatz in F Minor. It can be heard on my channel. Check it out, it's beautiful!!!!

  • I didn't know Clara is a composer like her husband. I learn something everyday. Thanks.

  • I hear a lot of Chopin influences. It makes sense, she was very familiar with Chopin's music. This is a great, underrated concerto; nonetheless.
