"Again" was composed by Lionel Newman and Dorcas Cochran and was introduced in the 1949 motion picture "Road House" by actress Ida Lupino. The song was so popular in 1949 that no less than seven versions of it were recorded by such stalwarts as Doris Day, Vic Damone, Vera Lynn, and this distinctive one recorded on Feb. 21 of that year by Mel Torme with orchestra conducted and arranged by Pete Rugolo.

Oh my gosh, I heard this song on the radio, fell completely in love with it, and was never able to find it! Thank you for posting, this is one of my favorite Torme songs. :)
