I guess technically this version is the original, because this was what was on the single, which came out before the album by several months.

the original version.. on the "forever young" album with the faster ending and the strings.. is the best one.

This is my favorite song of all-time. I listen to it everyday and each time i feel empowered. And yes, this definitely much better than the original version. I love Alphaville!
