@LeadSlinger89 if you have it under c02 pressure it will last just as long regardless of the vessel size

how long will beer last in the corny kegs? thinkin about getting a keg of Guinness, but would rather put it in some corny kegs (probably last longer in 2 untapped and 1 tapped than in one big tapped keg) any words of advice? Thanks for the video too!

You do it to get 1/6 kegs of beer that are not made in 1/6 keg size, like Harp, Bass, Molson, etc.

I having a birthday party for a friend and he really likes Newcastle. So I decided to buy a keg of Newcastle and put it on tap. My kegerator has 4 taps and I still wanted homebrew on tap for the party. If I put the commercial keg into the kegerator I would only have been able to serve that. So I transfered the beer from the commercial keg to Cornies.

Great video.How do you know when to stop, and is there anything else you need to do once the transfers are complete?

Yeah sorry I forgot to explain that. If you look behind the corney keg you might se the bathroom scale. Most beers including the weight of the corney will weigh about 50#. I would just weigh it as the transfer was going on to tell how much was in the keg. I would stop at 49-50#. Sometimes if it is cold and humid you will see the condensation on the outside of the keg and can tell the level with that. Nothing needs to be done when the transfer is complete. Every keg was pre chilled.

@Gumby1974
How did you adapt coming out of the commercial keg? What did you use to connect? Do you have a closer photo of the setup?

@59kjb It is just a standard sankey keg tap. I think I changed the hose barb size for the ball lock on the corney to accept the bigger hose from the sankey tap. Make sense?
