Taalainmaan piston kaaviokuva esitetään Haldin kirjassa. Pistoa on käytetty ainakin Ruotsissa Taalainmaalla maitosiivilöissä.
Pisto muistuttaa Åslen pistoa, mutta Taalainmaan pistossa on yksi iso peukalolenkki vähemmän, ja uusien silmukoiden kiinnitys edellisen kerroksen reunaan on erilainen näissä kahdessa. Taalainmaan piston alussa poimitaan neulalle peukalon takaa 1 pikkusilmukka (vasen!), sen jälkeen peukalosilmukka etukautta, ja lopuksi neula pujotetaan peukalosilmukan ja neulalangan ali. Kiinnitys edellisen kerroksen reunaan on tavallinen F1, eli yhteen reunasilmukkaan.

Diagram for Dalarna Stitch is shown in Hald's book. This stitch has been used at least in Sweden, in Dalarna area (=Valleys), for milk sieves.
This stitch resembles Åsle Stitch except that in Dalarna Stitch there is one big thumb loop less, and the connection to the previous row is different from each other in these two stitches. First pick up 1 small loop (on the left!) behind the thumb, then the big thumb loop from front to back, and finally the needle goes under the thumb loop and the needle yarn. Connection is F1, ie to one loop of the previous row.

Please do notice that the movements are slow on purpose, and that due to some difficulties combining suitable light and the position of the video camera, and that I wanted to see my hands both irl and on the small video screen, I had to keep my arms and hands in a bit akward and clumsy position, so the movements may not look "natural".
