@AyrtonSennaFan97 I think these laps were just to shoot the film. Bear in mind that in those days there were no onboard video cameras yet, those cameras were cinema cameras, some huge blocks attached to the top of the car. I suppose the driver couldn't push too hard because the camera's attachment could fail, dropping a big cinema camera onto the middle of the track.

Why do these on-boards always end before the driver goes for it? It happens with Nelson Piquet's lap at Detroit in 1987 it only shows the out-lap.

It's a fucking game dumbass, nothing like the real thing, you're pulling 0G's, you have 0 stress, you're not wearing a 5 layer fireproof suit and a helmet in a 60-65c car, when you break it doesn't for the air out of your lungs because in full braking F1 cars pull negative 6G's. If an average person were to drive an F1 car to the same extant as a professional, you would snap ligaments and start to tear muscles and eventually pass out.
