TED in Half | Kevin Kelly - Technology is Alive!

Who's got the time to watch 20 min clips of someone talking? For those who like their info hard and fast, it's TED in half.

Kevin Kelly, founding executive director of WIRED magazine, gives a compelling argument that technology should be thought of as the 7th kingdom of life.

While others debate the ethical and philosophical questions of AI, Kelly makes a far more fundamental argument on the level of technology as a whole, sentient or not, animate or not.

I have a feeling that these ideas will become quite obvious over time. Technology works in the world promoting it's own propogation and we are less in a position to control it than we believe. But at the same time, it is our use of technology which makes us human and separates us from other animals.
