Once, at Vulture Peak, the Buddha had appeared before a large crowd to give teachings. After remaining silent for several minutes, he finally picked up a flower. Everyone but one disciple was confused. The disciple who understood simply smiled. To that disciple, the Buddha said, "I transmit my true teaching to you."

  • That is very good writing.

  • We live in two worlds simultaneously.

One word is made up of words and experienced through words.

The other is reality which is only experienced through the five senses.

Although we live in these two worlds simultaneously, we are only aware of the former, word-world.

To realise that reality is infinite and words are finite, is to realise that words cannot capture reality.

Then one lives like a cat, eating, sleeping, seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching.
