This great video distinguishes the project from restoration projects by The Nature Conservancy that build oyster reefs in protected waters that that cannot be harvested. While all oyster restoration projects potentially provide both environmental and commercial benefits, it is a matter of degree. This project primarily provides commercial benefits and so should be funded by industry. Those who receive funding requests need to understand the distinction in the ultimate benefactors of the project.
